What Is Tung's Acupuncture?

Tung’s Acupuncture is the most effective form of acupuncture that is currently practiced  available. It is a form of acupuncture developed by the Tung's family hence the name Tung’s from the family name.It was handed down in the family as a family secret and refined over the generations to be the most effective Acupuncture system there is today. It’s Origins can be traced back to at least 1800 years ago and the most recent Master of the art of Tung’s Acupuncture was Master Tung Ching-Chang (1916-1975) who had a clinic in Taiwan from 1953-75. During this time Master Tung, using his superior Family Acupuncture system, further refined and improved upon what he learned and developed an incredible reputation for results gained using his family’s style of Acupuncture compared with others.

What makes Tung’s Acupuncture different to normal Acupuncture?

Its effectiveness compared to other forms of Acupuncture is much better and the results speak for themselves, quicker recovery times from complaints and less treatment is required as a result. Quite often a condition that may take 8 treatments with conventional Acupuncture might only need 2-3 with Tung’s Orthodox Acupuncture.

The points are located mostly on the extremities of the body thus are a safer form of Acupuncture and less needles are used than conventional Acupuncture. There are at least 500 Tung’s unique acupuncture points all based upon anatomical and topographical concepts. Most of these Tung’s acupuncture points are totally different from ordinary Chinese points used conventionally.

How do we have Tung’s Acupuncture in the West now?

We have to start with how difficult it was to be a be accepted as a student by Master Tung himself and be taught correctly. Usually a candidate would have to be recommended by the mayor of the town that he lived in before even getting to meet Master Tung, let alone study with him. The reason for this was to weed out those who would treat the Tung’s family line with the honour and respect that it was due, from those who just wanted to make money off his name. Master Tung eventually decided to teach his family line of Acupuncture so it could be passed on for further generations but he didn’t just take anyone into study. In fact there were only 73 true disciples of Master Tung and their names are inscribed on his epitaph so it is known where the true knowledge is coming from.

Why does this mater?

There are only a limited amount of sources from which the information of the Tung’s Acupuncture line can be correctly learned from, passed on and practiced in the world. When Master Tung died in 1975 there was an association set up to continue the teachings of Master Tung and his exceptional Acupuncture knowledge .

World Tung’s Acupuncture Association is the only place where the genuine art is still taught. In Ireland there are only four Acupuncturists who have completed their training and are able to call themselves Tung’s Orthodox Acupuncturist’s and Acudublin is one of those clinics where there is a genuine Tung's Acupuncturist.

It's to your advantage that you are seen by a genuine Therapist that can use Tung's Orthodox Acupuncture correctly to gain the results you are looking for.
